Yep. Sorry for being such an antisocial idiot, but school started and the jetlag hit me with it’s afterburner, so right now I’m sitting here with my face burned up because of my stupidity, as I didn’t turn back into “school-time” before it actually began. So yeah. Jetlag. Heavy one too, yes! Yesterday I just came home, ate and went to bed. Today is pretty much the same thing. Except I have really no hunger, so I fear I won’t even eat before I go to bed. Many reasons, actually, not just jetlag. A bit of a depressive me is there too, but that’s normal when I don’t eat enough (went down 4 kilos during my sickness, yay! And really, that’s a lot for me as my weight is normally somewhere around 65 kilos. Seriously.)
I seriously should get some food. Gaaah.
Well, good night! And have fun. Or something. I’ll try to keep updating as often as I possibly can… Guess I’m too tired.

Totally irrelevant title there. I’ve been sleeping for way too long today too, (nice, good work, such an idiot I am), and it seems like the fly Chell has disappeared. Good for her. Now I’ve got to do some REAL work, like, mowing the lawn outside and stuff like that, and guess what, I’m supposed to eat something too! WOW!

Portal 2 achievement haunting! (& Blog Tip)

Been doing some Co-op Portal 2 achievement haunting now, and I already feel tired, so I’m thinking of actually going to bed already. Since I slept like, way too much, that might be a good idea actually… or, well, really, I don’t know. It’s not like I’m a doctor, I’m a programmer!
Meanwhile, you could check out my dear friend BN+VS*’s official blog. He works on multiple Open-Source projects such as MediaWiki and a lot of other stuff, so that blog is really interesting to read, I can promise ya’!
I wish I had something more fun to say, but a fly has challenged me to a fight to the death, and I have a bad feeling about me having a lot of easy-to-break material in the same room when I’ll kill him, cause trust me, I will. I’m feeling like GLaDOS. Might aswell name the fly Chell…
Yup, I woke up about an hour ago (16.00, 4pm), about 6 hours later from when I was SUPPOSED to wake up. Well, I’ve been sick for two weeks so might just be my body catching up (hopefully at least), so I hope it won’t be a problem (but I know it will! Damnit…)
Anyway, to some totally unrelated news: First of all, I’m currently listening to nyan.cat on repeat (don’t ask me why, seriously) plus I’ve had some trouble finding my thumbdrives. Not like you care, so whatever. But I thought you wanted to know. Or you didn’t. I’m trying to reformat my school laptop (put in some extra 2GB ram, sssh, don’t tell anyone!) To Win 7 x64, which is done… now I just need to spend a couple of hours updating this shit too. Gaah! It’ll solve out, somehow…
I’m just doing this to test if I can run Bad Company 2 on the laptops, cause since they are school laptops they have Intel-graphics cards which misses like at least a DOZEN of functions needed for 3D gaming, HOWEVER, it seems to include every single DirectX 9.0c feature (and actually run it pretty well too), so I’m thinking of forcing Bad Company 2 to DX9 and see if it runs smoother. (That’s what I did on my stationary PC, as it lagged a bit on BC2 on DX10.) Yep, I haven’t really got the best PC around, need to get a new one for Battlefield 3… I just need to get the money somehow… heh. I should fix a donate button here somewhere. I had one before but it didn’t work, sadly. I’ve got one on my downloads site however.
Oh yes, I also managed to create an URL shortener on my resource domain (dsres.net), so if you see links like http://dsres.net/?b=840 then it’s to my blog, if you see links like http://dsres.net/?l=3 it’s just shortened URL’s that I’ve put on my website. Just so you know. NYAN NYAN NYAN! Gonna get something to eat, feels like I need it.
My aunt Liza has been calling me over and over again for the past hour needing help with finding a youtube video, sadly, I’m a computer geek and no “super-googler” (which she is) – so she had more luck finding what she wanted then the little geeky me. However, she’s not only my favorite nagging aunt, she’s also a very creative person doing… eh, yeha, let me google what it is in english. (Turns out she wrote it on her page, didn’t even need to google it), Crochet! (Doublechecking so I spelled that right. Oh yeah, those of you reading – spelling mistakes are common on this page, do beware! And I can’t pronounce “three” either, so if you hear me saying “tree” I might just be saying “three”, not that it’s related, but it disturbs me. And my friends.)

I’ve heard a lot of rumors that BF2Editor was hard to set up on Windows 7. Really, it wasn’t. Just run it in Compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and it’ll run along just fine! That’s both the Installer and the actual software there, running along fine. Submitting a picture of me editing some maps for Battleracer 3 in BF2Editor, running Windows 7. I took the screenshot size down, as it was originally 3840×1080 (Devving on double 24″ Full-HD screens is really awesome, I can tell you. And totally worth the money.) – but the image quality should be fine anyway.
Wow, very creative title there. Maybe not by the way, because I don’t really believe I have a “roof” when it comes to this domain or webspace, but indeed my visitors and pageviews went up a LOT recently. I’m quite impressed actually, I almost doubled my record on number of visitors today, already, and it’s only passed about 14 hours (My time, swedish time, GMT+2), I’ve noticed pretty much all of these users google for “GLaDOS Alarm Clock” or something like that, and find me here. Heh. Guess I have a good rate on google then, that’s always good!
So, what happens today? Hopefully nothing, probably much (meh), it involves me getting my room finished, click the picture below to see the album, which means getting the ceiling done, cleaning out everything and move in. Pretty much. I think that’s it. But, I can’t until my parents come home, (they’re away SOMEWHERE, I’m not quite sure, but I believe they’re shopping.) But, when I’ve moved out there, I can play music on highest volume 24/7, because that house is about 20m away from our main building, straight over, and a way bit longer from my parents bedroom.
Heh, not like I’m not playing music on highest volume already, being just a couple of centimeters away from their bedroom, but they really don’t complain. Unless they work the day after. I’ve got sweet parents actually. So really, right now I’m just writing cause I’ve got nothing better to do (except all the goddamn homework I’m supposed to do, but sssh… don’t tell anyone!), I really should get some breakfast tho. My stomach is killing me, seriously.

For those of you who haven’t tried out Portal 2 yet – do so. ASAP! It’s a great game. I’ll try to keep this post short (need to sleep) and spoiler free (because that’s just being nice, why did I even comment this?) but we’ll see how I do. I’ll make sure to add some extra notations somewhere around here if I write too much or if the post contains spoilers, so don’t worry. Or I’ll forget it. I guess emotional love bursts requires more then 1.6 volts..
*EDIT* Yeah this post became long. You probably noticed it so I didn’t even need to edit this and put it here anyway, but I felt like doing it. What a moron I am.
Anyway, while playing co-op I couldn’t stop laughing sometimes, really. It was amazing. It’s the best 2 player cooperative game I’ve ever played, and it competes even with Halo 1&2′s cooperative (yeah, and those games aren’t even designed for it, I know, but still), I crushed my friend (we got Portal 2 together and LAN’ed it, took us about 9 hours to break both Co-op and Singleplayer, and yeah, we started with co-op!) a couple of times in Co-op and couldn’t stop laughing about it, seriously. I was like “Hey, what does this butt… OH SHIT”, and my friend got crushed. I’ve probably written about this about a hundred times before but MEH it was so funny! I can’t stop thinking about it.
Oh yeah, while playing Co-op we also recorded a video. When I get my lazy ass to finish the captioning of the video I’ll upload it, don’t worry.
The singleplayer was awesome too. It was like, 5-6 hours long, and even tho both me and my friend JMK started at the same time, we had huge differences in time, but they kept going back and forth, meaning in the end, we ended up pretty much the same time for the “final fight”. The humor in this game is INCREDIBLY awesome. Seriously, you should play it. I *REALLY* don’t like singleplayer games, at least not normally… but eh. The Portal-series are the only ones I actually could play, while enjoying every minute of it. Seriously.
Now, as this turned off the subject (or maybe it didn’t, it just kind of shaped another way in the ending) and turned into a review, I’ll add some final notes:
For the multiplayer, it is NOT the best MULTIPLAYER game I’ve ever played, because I love fast-phased shooters like Quake (and stuff like that), however it is the best 2 Player Co-operative game I’ve ever played. I could also complain a *little* on the gameplay being a little, eh, blurred? I seriously can’t tell some stuff from the other, or separate it in my head. But that indeed, could just be me not sleeping the night before because of the Valve ARG… Anyway.
