Deleted_screen aquires Battleracer

Yay! I’m back up running again. The recent week has been a lot of work getting the new Battleracer website set up. Don’t worry, all your stats from saved and can be found on the BRstats website. I’ve been talking with the previous manager, Elxx,  for quite a while now, and it took us barely 2-3 weeks to get everything done. I really want to thank him for all the work he has made managing, creating and developing this mod so far, but also for being this nice to me, gathering up what he could from his resources, even tho he’s not home right now. I also want to thank the rest of the previous Dev Team, a list of those can be found here, for helping creating this awesome mod.

Elxx also managed to bring me some of the 1.3 content, however I haven’t had time to look at it yet. I promise you, however, there will be an 1.3 version. I’m note quite sure yet how close it will be to the original 1.3 changelog YET, but I’ll try to make it as close as possible. Now that I got some of the 1.3 content, however, it shouldn’t be much of a problem. I don’t have an release date yet however.

BC2 Server Files Leaked = Mod support?

I’ve for a very long time told myself that “as soon as the BC2 server files are leaked, you are going to create a mod tool for it”. I’m still wondering “how” illegal it will be, the software itself won’t be illegal (since all it does is replacing modded files, you get the point) but all of the users will be stamped as “illegal”. I’m sad that it turned out this way, but if the only way to mod BC2 is to be fairly illegal… Well, then it’s the only way. I don’t want to encourage anyone to be illegal, at all, rather the other way around. I do however want to make a note to EA that “you bastards, you should’ve given us mod support!” yeha, I blame EA, not DICE. As far as I know DICE, they would include Mod Support for their games, even if not the best mod support or even decent mod support – it would be there. This way, EA is assuring no-one will stick to BC2 when they release a new game, sort of ‘moving over’ all the players to the new game by advertising, because of their disappointment of the last game (kind of, or people getting tired of it). Then you might say, why did they include an editor for Battlefield 2? Well, DICE wasn’t owned by EA back then. Nuff’ said. And they didn’t release an 2142 editor… you get the point. (Still same game engine, but whatever.)

If you want to make a long-lived game you either have to be first with the idea, or make the game damn well. In the definition of a damn good game is mod support. Even unlimited, if possible without getting hackers all over.

I live for modifications,
I live for playing around with variables,
and physics engines,
graphics,
effects,
and new ways to re-use a game engine,
pushing the limits of the game engine.

Things that the game creators cannot do by themselves because they are not allowed to, they can’t play with the limits. We can, and we want. We require mod support!

And trust me fellas, if I can create a custom mod tool for you guys, I will. It might take some time however…

Modding Tutorial: Fixing the HUD for the AH1Z!

Finally.. here we go, this was made 1-2 weeks ago but I haven’t got it away because of several reasons, such as I can’t upload videos to youtube :D But my dear friend FiskFisk33 helped me upload it (finally), so you can watch it!

I’m too tired of writing anything, but here you go! If you like it please rate and comment and I’ll make sure that I make more tutorials. If you can’t see what it says in the text, make sure High Quality is pressed and watch it in fullscreen, you won’t miss a bit.

Greenscreen Map Screenshot

Okey there you have a big fancy screenshot of the map, which is green. I am also kind enough to give you a DOWNLOAD LINK!11!!1!!!! (Yeha aint it awesome?)

Anyway, to some important information, first of all, you need the mod Sandbox, no the original Greenscreen map was not made in sandbox but as sandbox is much easier to use I converted it to it. Oh and by the way, you might need some standard skills in english to read the readme and knowledge on how to use Explorer. No, not Internet Explorer, Windows explorer, so you can copy the files to the right place.

Here you go:

The dark side of Jalalabad

Wonder what i’ve been up to lately? I’ve been modding, of course. But before we get onto that, i gotta tell you to check this thread out,  it has some awsome pictures.

Anyway, i got SanY from Blue Entertainment that wants a darker version of Road to Jalalabad, or to be more exact, a sunrise version of Road to Jalalabad. Of course, this wasn’t the easiest thing on earth to do, and i’m still not really happy with the result.
